She spoke about the goal and objectives of the project, noting that the sources of relevance of the project are: request from textile manufacturers for modern competencies; the desire of Ukrainian youth to learn new competitive technologies; the capabilities of European universities to develop modern competencies in industry and cooperation between LNTU and universities in Ukraine and Sweden.
Oksana also spoke about previous research and invited to join the survey, which aims to analyse the needs of textile and apparel education in Ukraine among different groups of target audience, such as students, graduates, teachers, entrepreneurs and other stakeholders. The main objectives of the survey are to find out the needs and expectations regarding textile education programmes, subjects and teaching methods, as well as to identify opportunities for the development of the textile sector in the context of educational needs. The results of the survey will help to formulate an effective strategy for the development of textile education programmes in line with the needs of the modern labour market and industrial requirements.
